Former X Factor contestant Olly Murs was hired to co-host X Factor spin-off The Xtra Factor at the eleventh hour last night.The 2009 runner-up replaced Radio 1 DJ Matt Edmondson and immediately made his way to Birmingham, where auditions start today.Murs will be joining I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Now host Caroline Flack, who is leaving her role in the jungle to take up her new position.
Murs, 27, wrote: 'YES as you know already...I'm confirmed on Xtra Factor! Co-hosting it! Proper excited about it! Off down for auditions in Birmingham! NOW!!'Miss Flack, 31, confirmed that the new job meant her leaving I'm A Celebrity. She added: 'It does mean I'm sadly leaving the jungle. But had two fab years with the best team and only have incredible memories!Last night the presenter arrived to start work, telling fans, 'Here in Birmingham! Met the lovely Kelly and Tulisa. Gonna be a exciting day tomorrow... 'It would be a shame not to do something this year, but like Louis Walsh, I'm going to say, "I haven't seen a contract yet"'.The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford, Murs' fellow 2009 finalist Stacey Solomon, Kimberley Walsh, Georgie Thompson and Jeff Brazier were among those rumoured to be up for a co-hosting role on the Xtra Factor.The entire line-up is now complete following the confirmation of judges Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos earlier this week.
